HALF MARATHON SUCCESS!

Congratulations to Juan Ramirez, Karen Rios, and Nayely Estrada for completing the Tucson Half Marathon! Thank you also to Pima County Public Library for their support and help!

This event was a huge success!  Thank you to everyone who attended.  We had a number of adults and children stop by and learn about our program and about consumer health resources available to them.  Great job everyone.

 Just an update on our outreach event this weekend, November 3rd.  The event will be located at the Science and Engineering Library at the University of Arizona.  There is a link to a map below to help you.  Also, if you need a ride please let your mentor know ASAP because we have to get permission slips signed from your parents to ride in your mentor’s car.

We Search has been busy!!!

Hi everybody!

Just wanted to update everyone on what we have been doing these past few weeks. We have been very busy providing outreach within our community and our school. Here are some recent events:

Thanks to Maria and Juan for participating in the AIDSWalk at the University of Arizona. Juan participated in the 10K run and finished within the top 10! Congratulations!

        

Thanks to all of We Search for participating in our exciting pilates training. Photos of this training will be posted shortly. Also, a big thanks to Pima County Public Library for providing our group with this training.

HopeFest was a HUGE success. Thank you to all of those who came and helped inform our community about MedlinePlus and other consumer health resources available. We handed out over 300 consumer health information items to those who attended. Great Job!

GREAT JOB EVERYONE!

Just wanted to mention and give a big thanks to everyone for all your hard work and participation during our last few presentations.  The Power Point skills presentation for Mr. Pratt’s class went off with out a hitch thanks to everyone, and we want to send a special thanks to Karen for putting together the wonderful slide show.  Ms. Amber was very impressed with our skills and knowledge about the Agricultural/Environmental resources that we provided for her and her class as well.  Thanks for all your hard work!
